Coconut Flour Halwa (Indian Dessert)

Ingredients

  • Coconut Flour – ½ cup
  • Ghee (preferably A2 Cow Ghee) – 3 to 4 tbsp
  • Coconut Sugar – ⅓ to ½ cup (as per sweetness)
  • Water – 1 cup (or ½ cup water + ½ cup coconut milk for richer taste)
  • Cardamom powder – ¼ tsp
  • Chopped nuts (cashews, almonds) – 1–2 tbsp
  • Raisins – 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a pan, heat 3 tbsp ghee. Add chopped nuts and raisins. Fry till golden and set aside,Roast Coconut Flour,In the same ghee, add ½ cup coconut flour. Roast on low flame for 3–4 minutes until aromatic (light golden).

  2. Slowly add 1 cup hot water (or water+coconut milk), stirring continuously to avoid lumps,Add coconut sugar and mix well.

  3. Keep stirring on low flame till the mixture thickens and starts leaving the sides of the pan (5–6 minutes),Add fried nuts, raisins, and cardamom powder. Mix well. Add 1 more tbsp ghee if you like a glossy halwa.

  4. Top with grated coconut or drizzle a little warm coconut milk before serving for extra richness. Serve warm or let it set slightly and cut into pieces.
