Ingredients

  • Coconut Flour – ½ cup
  • Rice Flour – 2 tbsp (for crispiness, optional but recommended)
  • Onion – 1 medium, thinly sliced
  • Green Chili – 1, finely chopped
  • Ginger – 1 tsp, grated
  • Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp, chopped
  • Cumin Seeds – ½ tsp
  • Salt – to taste
  • Water – about ¼ cup (add little by little)
  • Oil – for deep frying or shallow frying

Instructions

  • Thinly slice the onion, chop green chilies, ginger, and coriander,In a bowl, mix coconut flour, rice flour, salt, cumin,Add sliced onion, green chili, ginger, and coriander leaves. Mix everything.

  • Add a little water at a time and mix until it becomes a thick batter that holds shape,(Don’t make it too watery — just enough to bind.)

  • Heat oil in a kadai or pan. Test heat by dropping a small amount of batter — it should sizzle and rise,Drop small spoonfuls of batter into the oil. Fry on medium flame until golden brown and crisp.

  • Drain on paper towel and serve hot with mint chutney or tomato ketchup.
